Your personal Knowledge Monitor

The Knowledge Monitor provides you with real-time insights into your personal progress. The type of knowledge tests linked to the published articles determine what insight you have into your score and knowledge level.

Overview and details

The Knowledge Monitor provides you with real-time insight into your personal progress. Information is displayed in detail per module and category, so you know exactly how you are doing and are always in control of your progress.

The knowledge modules and categories displayed in the Knowledge Monitor depend on your personal settings that you set in the Personalise section.

Your personal progress overview displays your progress, compliancy %, knowledge level, score and time spent on continuing education. This is all tracked in real time for each module.

Grouped knowledge modules

Grouped knowledge modules may be used depending on the configuration of a knowledge app. This means that the score associated with all knowledge modules in a group applies to the entire group.

Thus, you complete and score associated articles from all of those different knowledge modules. Your progress on the score is always visible per knowledge module, but the total score displayed is always for the entire group of modules.

When there is a grouping, a grouping icon is shown behind the name of the knowledge modules and the Total Score column.

Other than that, the Personalise section is the same. You can still edit the knowledge categories of the knowledge modules belonging to a group, or turn off the knowledge modules completely. Note that this does not affect the total score for the entire group.

Legend

The cards in the blue bar:

  • Score total: your total score compared to your (statutorily) specified score.
  • Compliancy%: your total score, but at most your target score, compared to your (statutorily) specified score. Expressed as a %.
  • Level average: the average pass rate of your activated and completed articles. The ‘highest’ score achieved for a knowledge test or resit counts for each article.
  • Average study time: the average time spent studying each completed article.

 Table columns:

  • Knowledge Module: the name of the activated Knowledge Modules that you can manage in the Personalise section.
  • Score: the progress of your score compared to your score objective per Knowledge Module.
  • Compliance %: the progress of your score against your score objective per Knowledge Module. Expressed as a %.
  • Level*: the percentage representation of your knowledge level per Knowledge Module.
  • UTD: the score you achieved with the Up-to-date knowledge app.
  • Elsewhere: the score obtained using the Score obtained elsewhere feature is added in the Certificates Dashboard.
  • Total: the total of the scores obtained UTD and Elsewhere relative to your (statutory) specified score objective.
  • Study time: the total time spent studying on all completed articles within the knowledge module.

To view the details for a Knowledge Module, click on the associated row. The details are then displayed for each activated knowledge category. The score and Compliancy % are shown only per Knowledge Module.

* The knowledge level is shown and assessed only for articles with a knowledge test with test questions. The different forms of knowledge tests depend on the knowledge app settings.

Group score

There may also be a group score. A group score means that the specified objective relates to multiple knowledge modules and you must collectively achieve a particular score. You can identify a group score by the group icon. It is only used for statutorily specified objectives.

With a group score, you get to decide which knowledge modules to generate content from. Lastly, the score obtained for each knowledge module is aggregated towards the specified total score.

Colour markings

Colour markings make help make things visually clear! The following colour markings are used for progress:

  • Green: 75% or more of objective achieved.
  • Orange: 50% to 75% of objective achieved.
  • Red: less than 50% of objective achieved.

At the start of each month, you receive an overview of your personal progress and level by email. You can then see at a glance how many points/hours you attained with Up-to-date or elsewhere.
