Up-to-date is the best and easiest way to remain permanently qualified and meet your knowledge and continuing education requirements. Up-to-date is available in several countries and for different sectors. Different Up-to-date knowledge apps are available because a specific Up-to-date version is customised to align with the laws and regulations of a particular country.
What is Up-to-date?
With Up-to-date, we do not offer ‘traditional’ education. It is actually statutory continuing education that uses article-based e-learning. Each session consists of the presentation of an article covering a current issue, knowledge refresher and/or case study.
Obviously, the articles are written by experienced authors who have standing in the sector and are experts in their domain. An External Advisory Board oversees the quality of the courses.
How does Up-to-date work?
It is very simple to use! When a new article is ready, you receive an email from us in your mailbox. You open the mail, read the article, complete the test and you’re done!
And you do so when and where it suits you! Of course, you only activate the knowledge areas that are relevant for you. This ensures you only need to read the articles that align with your knowledge needs.
All articles have supporting attachments, practical tips, learning objectives and a knowledge test. This is an optimal way of aligning your knowledge with your actual work! A timekeeper monitors how long you spend reading the article and taking the test. It usually takes about 30 to 60 minutes per article. Each article equates to at least ½ to 1 point per hour!
Didn’t pass your test the first time? No worries… a resit is waiting for you. Note that every answer comes with feedback, which explains exactly what the right answer is and why.
When you complete the test, your score is immediately credited to your personal Knowledge Monitor. And if you have also completed a course elsewhere, you can simply add it! This ensures you know exactly where you stand and your knowledge level. You will also receive a regular email to update you on your progress.
At the end of the year, we automatically place a certificate in the Certificates Dashboard for you. You can use the dashboard at any time to generate certificates or add certificates obtained elsewhere. Useful, right?
Up-to-date is available for which sectors?
Currently, we have three different Up-to-date knowledge apps available within FinSourceOne.
- Advisors Up-to-date: developed for the insurance and banking sectors in Belgium and Germany.
- Accounting Up-to-date: developed for the accounting sector in Belgium.
- Knowledge Hub Up-to-date: developed for the pension and insurance sector in the Netherlands.
