Managing user accounts

To manage user accounts, go to the User Accounts section via your personal menu at the top right. You can then add and manage user accounts.

Add accounts

To add an account, click ‘New account’. You are then taken to a new page where you enter all necessary account details, specify appropriate roles and activate the desired apps.

You can also personalise the account and link it to Teams.

You use the Personalise section to customise the account. For example, you can set up the knowledge and advice apps and notifications (messages). Personalisation is... personal, so it is often left to the consultant linked to the account.

User accounts for administrators

An account is unlicensed by default. Licences are only used when knowledge or advice apps are activated in the Applications section. This makes it possible to create licence-free accounts for System and/or Application Administrators.

Note: only user accounts created using the above method are linked to the Business Account. If you try to create a user account with the same email address as a user account that was previously created in some other way, the message ‘save failed’ is displayed when saving. You will first need to delete the relevant user account before you can add a new account using the above method. This is because an email address is unique and can only occur once.

Security

You use this section to set up some matters affecting an account’s status. You can also set up additional security measures. For more information, see Linking FinSourceOne to Azure Active Directory and Two-step verification.

Delete account

To delete an account, you must first remove all rights in the Roles and Applications sections. Once you save the changes, you can delete the account by clicking the bin icon in the User accounts section at the end of the row.

As an administrator, you cannot delete your own user account. This can only be done by another administrator. This is because at least one user account with management rights must be active. However, if your account is the only remaining user account, you can then delete your own account.
