Discounts via the SME portfolio

Akkermans & Partners is a registered service provider for the SME Portfolio (registration number DV.O248936). This allows you to save as much as 30% on your Advisors Up-to-date subscription.

Is my company eligible for the SME Portfolio?

Small enterprises can benefit from up to 30% support and medium-sized enterprises up to 20%. The maximum support ceiling per year is €7,500. Three factors determine the size category:

  • Number of employees
  • Turnover
  • Independence

Company size Number of employees Annual turnover Independence*Subsidy
Small companyLess than 50Up to 10 millionYes30%
Medium companyLess than 250Up to 50 millionYes20%

* No more than 25% of the company may be owned by a company that does not meet the SME definition.

SME portfolio request procedure

To avail yourself of the SME Portfolio, you must submit an application to the Innovation & Enterprise Agency within 14 days of the start of your Advisors Up-to-date subscription.

We briefly outline the steps for you:

  • You can apply for a subsidy here from the Agency for Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
  • As soon as you receive the invoice from us, you pay the VAT directly to us. You deposit your own share (70%) into the SME portfolio.
  • You instruct the agency online to pay us the full invoice (excluding VAT). The Innovation & Entrepreneurship agency also deposits your subsidy (30%) into this account.

Important: the entire process of application, payment and assignment to the agency must be completed within 14 days. Otherwise, the 30% subsidy may expire.

Invoice reminder procedure

As explained, our invoices are paid in parts. The entire procedure can take 14 to 30 days. This may mean that you receive a reminder even though you have already paid your share of the invoice and have instructed the agency to pay.

Unfortunately, we cannot tailor the invoice reminder process to the operation of the SME. So if the situation arises that you receive a reminder even though you have already completed your part in the process, you can of course ignore the reminder.
